Following the session The Researcher Online 1: Building your Online Identity, there will be another workshop next week looking at more interactive ways of developing your professional presence online.
The Researcher Online 2: Building your Online Network
Social media can help you to build your professional network for many purposes: peer mentoring, making contacts in your research area, finding opportunities such as conferences or jobs, keeping up to date with developments, sharing ideas and finding collaborators. If you’d like to find out more about how to build, extend and maintain your network, then sign up for Building your Online Network, Wednesday 21st November, 12-2 in CRASSH SG1. To attend, please register here: http://www.crassh.cam.ac.uk/events/2217/
We’ll be putting some of this into practice in the session, so if possible, we’d like participants to bring a wifi-enabled device such as a laptop, smartphone, netbook or tablet, and have set up a twitter account to use.
We will be uploading the slides and audio in due course, but if you’d like to get involved remotely, we’ll be using the hashtag #RONetwork
